What to Expect |
| |
|
What should I expect on Sundays at First Baptist Jonesboro? Worship and Bible study are the foundation of all we do. We love to worship the Lord and would count it a great honor to have you worship and study with us to gain direction and encouragement for your week.
What do I wear? Those who attend First Baptist wear anything from casual to business attire. We're not as concerned with what you wear as much as we're concerned about you and your spiritual life. Come as you are, or dress up, we'll be glad you're here.
Where do I park? Parking downtown on Sundays is not difficult. We have a dedicated parking lot for guests, handicap, and preschool families at the corner of Main & Matthews. Additional handicap parking is available on Jefferson Avenue and Union Street.
General parking is available along Main Street, at the Williams Ministries Building and the Christian Activities Center along and around Madison & Union Streets, and at the Craighead County Annex parking lot at Union & Jefferson. Bancorp South (keep ATM lane free) and Gregg's Funeral Home (north lot) generously allow First Baptist to utilze their parking areas, as well.
Where do I go when I arrive? Headed to worship? Come to the sanctuary building on the north side of our main facility on Main Street between Matthews & Jefferson.
Headed to Bible Study? Come to the Atrium Welcome Center where someone can direct you to the appropriate class.
Looking for childcare and classes for your children/students? Come to the new four-story LIFE Center where safe and secure classes are available for newborns through grade 12. Newborns-kindergarten check-in on the 1st Floor. Grades 1-6 check-in on the 2nd Floor. Youth, grades 7-12, head to the 4th Floor.
I'm a college student, do you have a place for me? Certainly! Our vital college ministries gather in the Student Ministries Building (the one level building on Union Street) for Sunday Bible Study at 9:30 a.m. and for ReMix on Wednesday nights. College students are also encouraged to attend one of our church-wide Sunday morning worship gatherings at either 8:30 a.m. (relaxed & informal) or 10:50 a.m. (classic traditional). |
